Devil Survivor

I only recently watched Persona 4 the spiritual squeal to Devil survivor, they both come from the Shin Megami Tensai  world) and having never played the games i'm still very new to the world but for some reason I am absolutely  in love with it. I really wish I could describe it better but there s something about the way the world is and the way the characters act that makes it feel so wonderfully real despite the setting itself being completely fantastical. It's this feeling of complete immersion combined with the tenseness of the situation and my love of philosophy that makes me want to just keep watching it. Even though I always love seeing that a new episode of an anime i'm following is out it's rare that I get truly excited by it and can't wait to watch it but devil survivor has done it. That down side to this is that I get really annoyed when i'm interrupted when watching it so i have to wait till I know i'm not going to be disturbed.

There is one major problem I have with it though, and that is the opening. In the opening each chracters briefly flashes up one by one, one of these characters died in the very same episode he appeared, and as per my luck he was set to be my favorite. (to avoid spoilers I will be blanking the charter's name highlight the blanks if you want to see it) Keita ,even though he died right of the bat was the sort of character I love (the sort that does give away everything about them selves right at the start)and the fact the he was fleshed out enough for me to know that bugs me it really makes me question why he was killed off, i get that they wanted to create a situation in which Hibiki really felt the cost of the battles and the best way to do that was to give him a friend which dies, but to do it so fast with such a fleshed out character just seems odd especially as he was apparently important enough to appear in the flash by with all the other characters.

In any case I can't wait until I can get a full version of the ending song, for some reason I have greatly preferred the ending songs of this and Persona 4 over the openings.
